Don't know about everyone else but all this winter chit chat has got me itching to go racing this weekend. See ya'll at Talladega. WE GOT THE NEED, THE NEED FOR SPEED.
Hey ya know what, all you southern boys can kiss my rosy red a@#. Us Northern exposure guys won't see a lick of racing until may, so you can take your February races and do what you will cause I'm sittin' here dreamin about it when there's still 2 feet of snow on the friggin ground!!! I've got cabin fever so bad that I'm wearin' my leathers around the house and watching tapes of past daytona's and laguna seca's . And do you think speedvision helps??? Hell no. They took 2 wheel tuesdays and turned it into a bunch of airplanes and snow jockeys. I WANT DAYTONA!!!
I don't know what the heck you are all whining about, I've already spent 3 days at the track just last weekend Great racing and beautiful weather in the 70's... (Ducking)
(I'm ducking too) This is a scientific correlation I have devised over the years, after listening to similar complaints from my friends. The louder they whine about cold weather and no riding, is directly proportionate to the amount of dislike they have for driving long distances. Yeah, I'm a southern boy and have been to a couple track days this winter, but I did invite all my friends to join me and they all crapped out because it was too far to drive. Sounds like a personal problem to me, as I was out cooking tires all weekend!
Ha,ha, I knew there was another good reason I moved to Atlanta instead of NH. Never really to cold here and the racing starts pretty early. As for the Northern racers what better reason do you need to move down south than an early start to the racing season. Don't say I'd need to find a job, because I'm sure Shawn has got some grass that needs mowing soon. Suppose to be in the 60's this weekend and nice at Talledega. Not only that the track is great now. I'll pay the extra $ to get in the gate instead of 3 rear tires for one weekend.
I too am a northern transplant, recently escaping the frozen grip of the Midwest. My plan was executed perfectly and I have yet to put anything motorcycle related in winter storage like I used to. I've been too busy using the stuff!
Never really cold here, yeah right. What about all that cold weather we had a couple of weeks ago Chris? I am ready now, finished bellypan last night. Why is it we had since October to get ready and I still have a couple of things left to do.
BITE ME!!! ALL OF YOU Sunny and 60 hah, I'm getting 3" to 6" of snow tonight, looks like another lonely night of watching past GNF's. At least I can watch the one thing you soiuthern boys are good at, WADDING YOUR BIKES!!! As for you Sean, you can duck now... but there is always later. You'll be regretting that NC race you scheduled at RA
I figured you cold weather guys wouldn't let a little snow and ice bother you. What, ice screws don't work in Pilots? Plus a little frozen precip on the runoff area would have to be easier on equipment if you went down.:P
I too am suffering from cabin fever in this arctic tundra of a state we call Ohio and am willing to travel to Alabammy for a weekend escape from hibernation. Looking forward to a little southern hospitality and hopefully a little southern Belle!!!!!! Good luck to all!
Hold on guys from the north! Stop the whining... I'm originally from Boston and snow, sleet nor 20 degree fahrenheit weather NEVER kept me from riding. Like the ad says... JUST DO IT!
Welp, from what the weatherman is saying for tonight, i may be checking into them "ski conversion kits" here real soon... But then again, Michigan is a STRANGE state to begin with LOL
Oh sure, just throw in a couple a spikes in the ole rains and whisk down the track, I wish. I put in one track day where it never got above 45, not to say that I didn't enjoy the riding time, but not like it did me any good since your tires got cold the second you hit the pavement. Maybe me and Wyldkat can atake a trip down for a little southern hospitality...
That may be possable sometime... Just looked out the window and low and behold, yet MORE snow...SHEESH...
YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!! I DON'T KNOW WHAT ALL YOU GUYS ARE TALKING ABOUT. I JUST GOT BACK FROM A FULL DAY OF PRACTICE. IT WAS SO FUNNNNNNNN
I'm sure everybody up north has someone right next to them holding a gun to their head telling them they can't move somewhere warm, right? Tracee, a week of cold and snow/ice down here isn't that bad since it melts quickly, but those poor suckers up north still have snow on the ground! He he he!
Not only can I see through your screen, I also have inside information. Actually, my Mom was just here to visit and had to leave sunshine and 70's to head back to the Poconos which was in the teens with snow. Now that I'm in the south, I have a strict no vacation up north policy in effect from October until March.
