I don't know why everyone disses those RPM years, all the fast guys came over to WERA/RPM.

 

I forgot all about that. Damn, still wild.

Track time was track time! I was not picking sides!

 

Oh hell i had a blast with RPM.
Still have my founding member shirt.
Vintage guys came out from everywhere to race there.
And we put them on grid so that other classes would have issues with them.
You and Holly did a great job.
Tom made it feel like everyone was family when we showed up.
And if anyone had an issue you listen to everyones imput to solve it on the fly.
The lack of professional curtousy shown by Cmra by black balling RPM with tracks was an uphill battle.
Even after the then president said he would not stand in way if Wera ran in Texas.
Shame it ended the way it did.
But loads of respect for you and everyone who stuck together so us fools had a place to race.
