    In my home state of North Dakota, Native Americans get a BIG check when they turn 18, a check every month for the rest of their lives, the Government builds their houses
    on the reservation to live, schools on their lands, and a free college education. Lord knows what else they get for nothing more than having 25% Native American blood.

    And they piss it all away, trash the houses, and the Tribes rake in a shit ton of money now in Casino revenue.

    Yeah...their ancestors endured a completely shitty treatment by the US Government. I admit that 100 percent. And THOSE people should have been the benefactors of all this.
    These people alive today...haven't endured anything that wasn't of their own making.

    They need/deserve more?????

    I wish a Native American tribe would sue her for all she's worth. Considering her almost $8 million in net worth I hear advertised was
    acquired because she falsified her ethnic background on her college entrance papers denied a real Native American that truly qualified for
    her scholarships and grants.

    That would be some justice if you ask me.

    Nope, reparations are a different thing entirely. Casinos and other things are just like being born into a rich family with pretty extensive land holdings who had ancestors that made deals with the government. People tend to look at the bad part of how Indians were treated as well they should but they then forget the Indians were the landowners at the time and the government while stealing it gave them other land and agreed they were a sovereign nation unto themselves even within the US. Totally different stuff than reparations for families of slaves.

    That has nothing to do with it and nowhere am I saying the people didn't get royally fucked over back then. They did get land and got the ability to rule their land as they see fit (to an extent, it is still the government after all). Not the same things as slaves.

    Last Monday night I stayed at Cherokee Nation Casino in Siloam Springs. It was pretty lux, won a little money, ate a massive buffet for $14 and they gave me a free breakfast that included DNA from no less than 4 kinds of animals. $78.

    Its still Oklahoma but I will take that deal all day compared to a lot of other places I have to visit.
