Are you implying that gas appliances are gender fluid?

NG > LP, $$$-wise. No contest on what to choose, if both are available.

Oh, and they're actually included with the purchase of the oven (No Special Tools Required!).

Still the performance of LP is way inferior.

I got my Hayden Wired (red/silver) signed by Nicky @ Indy one of the years I worked the GP. Had a nice chat with him.

I guess so. I pulled the top looking for any obvious signs as this is where I thought I saw a spark come from. Then I had to travel so I just left it alone until I got back home a day ago.

From what I can tell the doofus “Electrician” didn’t get one of the wires all the way into the wire nut and it was basically just a semi lose connection causing arcing and finally enough separation where the bare wire made contact inside the box and tripped the breaker. Definitely a shoddy wire nut job, typical “professional” tradesman half assing it.

#1: copper and aluminum wires are not to be connected with wirenuts

#2: #6 conductors are a failure waiting to happen when spliced with a wirenut

Save yourself a potential fire and make all those splices using insulted taps (I’m personally partial to Polaris taps from NSI).

 That’s what I thought about doing but didn’t. I wasn’t sure I could fit it all back into the box.

Because if he does it in all the jobs he works it adds up.
