I did a search and came up with nothing on here about Electric Dollys.

    Do anyone here use them?
Have good or bad stories with certain models?
    Any good alternatives?

I find them ore on boating sites than anywhere else and they generally cost north of $1300.

The cheap brand is no longer made. ($600).
So I am stuck with debating on the more expensive ones.

THis is the cheapest on the market I have seen now.
    $1350+ shipping.

I don't own one buy I did use one at the dealership to move my trailer. It looked like the bottom one as it had a chain.

It worked great, it was effortless.

The battery was getting low when I used it so making sure it stays charged seemed like the only issue.

how heavy a trailer are you moving?
On my 6x14 I have one of these... http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/291274274331?lpid=82&chn=ps

Works well on paved areas even when fully loaded. On gravel areas I put down 2x10s to move it ~30' two feet at a time. :(
My boss keeps his 40' aluminum boat trailer at our shop yard. We modified an old dolly with tubed tires to jockey it around.

    Yeah,
I've seen those but the space and incline of my driveway is kinda steep at a certain point.
Trailer loaded down would weight under about 2400 to 2800 lbs.

Seems like you could pick up a small lawn tractor and put a ball hitch on it. (and then mow your grass too)?
