47 years of unblemished broadcasting. My first experience with his ability was when I started watching Flyers games and other NHL games when you didnt need a premium channel like HBO, Prism, or in Metalhead’s case, Skinnamax. He seems like a good dude. Has a bunch if horses and other animals he cares for and donates to a group of animal care-takers around his area. Just seems like a humble guy, I caught some of his retirement interview on the NHL channel. So thanks for being a great broadcaster and a good person, Mike!
Doc always announced the games like he was on the radio and the audience couldn't see the action. Never overlooked a trick on the ice. He will be missed by the NHL followers. All the luck to him.
