We are thinking about doing that race also. I will be in 50C also. Kris rides open A. Wonder when Sign up opens?

Some dude named Will Elliot showed up at the SORCS race last Sunday and ran +65.... finished really well considering the conditions.

And Yes, Kris is giving me shit about getting beat by him.

The xc-w/ exc is on springs in the front, sx and xc are on air.

Everyone likes the 350! Don't be ridiculous :D

Btw some of the big names like Billy Bolt switch b/n the 300 and 350 and needles to say kill on both.

decal works, made my own, with their template, picked my colors, and "vendor logos". Ski

husky fc, fx, are on linkage shock rear, air fronts. kreft is THE AIR FORK SPECIALIST!

for the husky fc tc (4t, 2t, mx, sx platform), starting in 21, have 10mm shorter fork/shock height, over the ktm counterparts.

with gas gas being in the ktm stable now, you might want to look into those. the prices for GG are better than ktm, and husky, and they are all, almost the same except for colors, and wheels.

i wished the GG came with black wheels. i may have went that route, v.s continuing to look for a ktm xcf350.

i cant do the husky with the goofy shaped fenders, and the million dollar rear subframe... oh, and the magura hydraulic clutch failing due to an o-ring FOREVER!!! "HEY HUSKY... SWITCH TO THE BREMBO UNIT, THAT IS ON YOUR KTM BIKES!!! WTF???" ski

NEPG sign up is usually held online 1 month from the event. Need to go to https://www.livelaps.com/ and create an account after you have a NEPG (national enduro promotions group) license. Sign up is held AT 8pm the day of sign up. if you dont sign up that moment, you may not get a spot and will be on the "waiting list" for this event. it's the most popular, cause it's the most fun :) however if on waiting list, you can show up to the event, and get an alternate spot (someone that didn't show ) and they to date, have never turned anyone away.

You could always come down a couple of weeks before and do the SORCS race in Sparta Ga as a warm up... They have been having big turnouts this year so far. We’ve had 16-20 in the 50c class every race so far.

i have been scouring the nepg site, and cant find a place to register for the nepg license. am i missing something? i am guessing, like all race orgs, they have a license/membership, required to race with the org. Ski

know what, come to think of it, no license needed. they cover everything with the sign up.. but again, will be closer to 1 month from an event before sign up comes up

from todays ride... i've always put the road bikes away in november when the snow and road salt started to fly and not brought them out again until late march, early april..

it's kind of nice to just throw a dirt bike in the truck and be able to ride in january.

on another note, dirt has way less traction than the street... dirt with snow on the top has even less traction still.. holy shit. i lost track of how many times i nearly tucked the front.

2nd ride.. i think i finally got it to 3rd gear for a split second

also, anyone with a 2 stroke just kill the bike on downhills? i've watched a few YouTube dirtbikers do this.. since you don't really engine brake, they just shut off the bike when going down hill.. i tried it today.. seemed to go ok.

Sounds like a good chance of washin' the cylinder down with fuel...not to mention running crank/rod bearings clean of lube.
Maybe you can find a two-plug head and install an old-school decompression valve in one of the holes.

Turning the bike off going downhill?

Depends. Long hill, newtch then kill and coast. If the bike in in gear, the motor is running.

Didn't realize it was an injected bike, but I'd still be mindful of the loads put upon unlubed bearings. The oil pump is electronically controlled.
If it were my bike, I'd learn to become an expert with the brakes and leave the thing running for every situation that doesn't involve going submarine.
OR, I'd check into installing a switch that kills the injectors, only the injectors and has no effect on any other component's reaction, like the ECU.

Quite a bike you got there, btw. No wonder you've instituted a break-in period for the rider. :D

Today's ride for me. 115 loop with only 10-ish miles in the park. It's a ~100 mile round trip, and I wanted to road test the bike for an upcoming dual sport ride in Baja (full luggage and road tire pressure). Faultless/flawless trip, except for the incessant rain for 4 hours. I highly recommend the 100% Hydromatic gloves and SealSkinz waterproof socks.
