Yup, this is the US in 2020 folks.

 

Just as an update to this, Virginia has released their app Covidwise that can start doing this. You would have to download the app and turn on the feature for it to take effect. Per the VDH website, it uses no location tracking, just anonymous tokens, that change regularly and exchanged over Bluetooth Low Energy tech.

I am neither endorsing nor condemning this. I am just letting folks know the first of these apps is out there in the US. More will soon follow I am sure. All I know about it is what I have read on the following web site, so don't ask me about it.

In that article, there was a mention of something to the effect that forcing the wearing of a mask is a violation of basic personal freedom.
Well, what about clothes? Is having to wear them not a violation of one's personal freedom? I'm being oppressed!
