Covid19 PSA

My employer teamed up with a prominent ivy league university to do antibody testing across all of our sites. I read the initial results and out of the ~3,000 volunteers, 1.8% tested positive. There is going to be followup testing in the next couple of weeks and on through the summer.

 

The only thing on my face right now is my palm.

Coincidentally.... speaking of having sex....

China's mass testing of the city of Wuhan reveals that (assuming the results are accurate) there is only a 0.002% infection rate across the city's population.

My 86 year old dad fell yesterday , and his wife found him non responsive.

Careflighted to Dayton hospital, we go down, took an hour to get to his room, due to screening for virus. He is on a ventilator .

They would not allow us both to go, but I went anyway.

Shortly after in room, dr comes with security to remove me.

I am beyond furious. They let me stay, but said their policy is one person per day, no exceptions, no switching.

8 PM came, they said we had to leave....including his wife. Destroyed her. His own wife can`t stay.

So now they will call from ICU during the night if something changes...... .

Cannot believe what our society has become.

Please send prayers and positive vibes for Dad, he needs them.

I love how everyone keeps touting that they 'tested all 10mil people'... They didn't! They took samples from everyone, but only actually tested 1 in 10.

 

To be honest, from what I saw read I'm surprised it's so little with how sloppily they were collecting samples. A lot of testers weren't changing PPE between people, and they were jamming sample kits together and all sorts of other crap. It was obvious how sloppy and unprofessionally it was carried out.
