I know they're a waste of money in the first place - but it appears no one makes any other aftermarket wheels for my bike, and OEM used or new are stupid expensive already.

    BST or Rotobox?

From a durability/performance/we don't test on lab animals standpoint - styling wise, I could go with either.

I'd say BST but only because I know they've done extensive testing and have a ton of experience. I just don't know the other company at all.

Yeah, it would help if you mentioned what bike this is for.

FYI ThyssenKrupp, the company that makes carbon wheels for the latest BMW bikes, also makes them for other late model sport bikes as well. Obviously if BMW would choose them to put on their OEM bikes its going to be fairly high quality componentry.

i'll bet if he called around an aftermarket company could build him a set, most are 3 piece design bolted together to get the spacing right for rotors and sprocket

Please talk them into making a 5" wide 17" wheel so I can put carbon on the back of my supermono project? :D

BST has been around the longest of the two you mention I"m pretty sure. I know they have done a lot of testing.

That said, I like the style and fitment of the most recent RotoBox, if I were buying carbon wheels these days that the one I'd get. I think any issues that people with carbon wheels have had is in the past. Catastrophic damage is going to be bad in any wheel but I just haven't seen any instances of carbon wheels failing in normal riding situations.

Don't forget Dymag when shopping around, they make carbon fiber wheels as well.

We still have not received a response from the OP on what bike this is even for.

Dymag, Rotobox and BST are the ones that come to mind.

I wouldn't call them a waste of money, but it depends on the application.
