So I did something dumb. I was rebuilding my carb on the dirty bike and over tightened the main jet stripping the brass threads in the body of the carb. What's the best way to fix this?

The threads in the carb should be aluminum, did you strip out the emulsion tube?

You must have applied some serious strength to strip that out.

The part you may or may not have stripped, it it is brass, it should be replaceable.

    What's the make and model?

Main threads into the emulsion tube, it's replaceable. Not a big deal.

I didn't go crazy with it and I can't recall now if it's brass or aluminum. This was last year when I rebuilt the carb before riding. I know I need to do it again (bike sits a lot) and was hoping to fix it properly.

    Bike is a 2004 RM250

After investigating, the carb needs to be replaced. Emulsion tune is not replaceable. Got a brand new one off flea bay for $200.
