Good thing he didnt crash on the previous curve and take out the cyclist..:wow: Looks like the cop just sits there and waits for riders to crash.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T8aY9Bz_dRs
yeah i dunno about that one... i would think the cop would have more sense than to be parked there - not sayin he caused it or anything, but crap. i dont think the bike would have gone down if he wasnt.
He definitely grabbed a handful of front brake when he saw the cop. You can see the bike pick up when he does and looks like it scared the dude, he didn't know how to handle it, and tucked the front. Kind of a dangerous place for a cop to sit if you think about it, but still, this guy shouldn't ride above his skill level on the streets. Sucks for him!
Assuming this is California: "The mission of the California Highway Patrol is to provide the highest level of safety, service, and security to the people of California." So park your cruiser in such a manner that it causes a rider to go down and slide into the path of oncoming traffic. Nice.
The only thing that caused that crash was the riders reaction. He could have easily just continued on until the officer gave chase. It's always someone else's fault....right.
I don,t think it was the cops fault.I don't take up for the (man) much but i would say he didn't cause that.I used to run from them all the time and i never thought about grabbing my brakes.Rider error.
The guy on youtube looks like he copied the video from this guy: http://www.youtube.com/user/rnickeymouse I believe that's Mulholland Drive in SoCal. He sits by the snake and records people crashing, lol. Remember this gem? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Up2UvuRLdTE
If you look closely, you can see the cop's front wheels are turned hard to the left, as if he's ready to floor it and start chasing the bikes as they come around that corner.
Most of the Twisty roads in so. cali are full of idots that can't ride..That's why I stopped going up there yrs ago.
