Long story short, but the lady and I are building a house, our budget is a bit low but doable especially since I am HVAC certified, have close friends that are electricians, and plumbers etc... also.

Anyways I am trying to find a used 48" stove, (6 burner with griddle). Any suggestions on websites to look at for used restaurant stuff, or anyone want to just buy me a Viking?

Awfully big appliance to heat up Little Geno's Pizza Rolls in... :moon:

    Look into restaurant auctions.

Doesn't everyone spend 175k on their kitchen?

It was hard to believe, but when we built in 2015...Brass was coming back into style. I just shook my head and stuck with nickel and antique bronze

Yeah $5500 for that sexy thing is going to be hard to fit in the budget.

How do Thor Kitchen stoves stack up?

I have never bought pizza rolls, don't think she even buys them for the kids. We cook most of our meals, and she bakes a lot. We have a large (guessing 20 qt) Hobart mixer from her dad that needs some cleaning and its ours.

Is that Hobart a counter top or floor-standing model?

Back to the original question, I've seen some very nice range tops at Habitat ReStore.

The commercial units have less or no insulation in the body, which causes issues when installing next to wood cabinets. Some inspectors won't sign off on them. You also need a serious hasn't supply and commercial style hood to deal with the btu's.

I found a 60 inch 5 Star on Craigslist for a stupid deal. If you have time to shop then start hitting SearchTempest and searching around your region. There are deals to be had if you are patient. Should be able to find a Wolf, Viking, etc for $2K to $3K.
