Agreed they need a way to get them to make some noise. Formula one took a huge hit when they went silent with their cars. I lost all interest in going to any of the races even though the last year or two they've been having the teams make them louder .
Back to steam engines! No! Chariots with horses! This electrical bike stuff is too quiet and very terrible! Ride one. You might smile.
Maybe for Starbucks runs, but not for racing! I drive an air cooled Porsche 911 because I like machines. These are not machines
Smith leaves MotoGP the last year custom helmets are still allowed. That forehead ain't gonna fit in the 2019 spec helmets
They do make noise. No it's not as loud as a combustion GP bike, but it's not exactly silent either. I imagine a full grid of them coming into turn 1 will sound pretty interesting
A full grid would sound like a Star Wars fighter battle, only without the cool effects. If they full functioning laser cannons on them, I’ll watch the show...from a far.
No. It doesn't sound interesting, It sounds like a bunch of electric bikes. Dunno if they still do it but there was an e-bike race during the club event at the fall Daytona races. I saw E Boz there and he said he was in the race so I watched it. He won it of course. It was entertaining for sure, not gonna lie. But that heart in your mouth effect of screaming engines is irreplaceable. Still, it was not boring.
Sounds like my RC cars. Full size electric racing anything sucks. If it's the future I'm glad I wont be around for it.
Michael Czysz had his e-bike out at Portland Intl Raceway for a track day a few years back - and while his speed was impressive, all you could hear was noise from the drive chain. I'd miss the MR12 smell.
Back to the Bigheaded Ginger. I'm really surprised he didn't pick up a much better ride. I guess he stays in their face racing the toaster in the same paddock.
