Whats wrong with Putnam?

They could start allowing camping, make it free, and give everybody a lollipop at the gate, but we ain't going back until DICK Diaso goes and jumps in a lake.

It really is a shame that track isn't used to it's potential.

 

There is a series that does race motorcycles there though.

 

you sure about that? fasttrax stopped a couple years ago.

 

Not for a while from what I can gather.

 

I only know of trackdays there.

 

Fasttrax (Motoseries) is trying to get a 2011 date @ Putnam. MCRA has a couple events there in 2011.
It's only an hour from me. I go to Nelson alot with motoseries to race. You really appreciate how nice Putnam is after spending all year at Nelson.

 

April 9-10th and Oct 15-16th are the dates for MCRA at Putnam

 

Moto Series will NOT be at Putnam. They did not provide us with any dates for 2011.

Guess that wasn't cool posting info on other groups on this board. No disrespect meant. MCRA and Motoseries are both trackday orgs.

Back to speculation on Bluegrass.

 

I believe someone will step up and get this track finished. It's too close to a finished product to let it die. I know the crappy economy isn't helping, and any return on an investment would take a while. With the legal process and the attorneys dragging it out, it might be a while.

 

It'll probably have grass growing up inbetween the blacktop before they start work on it again.

memphis motorsports park was auction off for 1.8 million last month and it had a functional drag strip and 3/4 mile oval, as well as a small road course....if BMP were auctioned i'd figure it would go for much less........maybe half?
