So I'm re-reading Tim Dorsey right now and I truly think I want to retire to the Keys, somewhere near a good beach bar where I can spend my days watching local Florida news
The Keys are great . . . to visit. I tho't about moving down there at one point. Only problem I could not overcome: You need to be prepared to turn the key in the lock and walk away from it all when the big blow comes. And I mean literally walk away from everything - expect nothing to be left when you return. No thanks. Grew up on the Gulf Coast and I know what a hurricane can mean. I know it's only stuff, but, I spent a lifetime accumulating that stuff. Cheers, Dave
It might be difficult to load up and move a dozen or so BSAs (in various states of disassembly) in a hurry.
If I get to the point of hanging in a bar all day every day I won't have anything and probably be living in something on wheels anyway
Good point. One could argue: How can you be too upset about walking away from piles of junk? Yeah, probably wouldn't worry too much about a big blow coming, and what consequences it might bring. Hell, that would be the entertainment. Cheers, Dave
