I always loved this bike. Its truly beautiful in person. Paint scheme is really spot on. A great example of the monster v4 from Honda with a hint of HRC thrown in. This one is in primo shape, fresh out of the museum. In this condition they are very hard to find. If you have a rc30/rc45/rc51/....this is the Grand Daddy. $6,500 gets it delivered to any where in the US. I'm post here first before it goes to the web. My bikes have move so fast it has been amazing. A lot of guys have gotten some very sweet examples of moto porn over the last month. I'm so happy that they are all going back on the road for the most part. cya Pete
The VF sold for near $6k? or the R? I dont remember that and I was a frequent visitor to the local honda/kawi/yamaha shop. I do remember them having the thing up on a box in the front window. The color scheme was dramatic then! I do have a soft spot for the VF though. It made some sweet music with a pipe and was pretty peppy for an 84.
Yep.." R " Mazda had a truck commercial offering a truck for the same price. I will never forget sitting at the bank with granny. "Son,Wouldnt you rather have a truck?" Same price, but no granny,I want that bike, the women, jail, and losing my license for 5 yrs on that thing
Yea the R is all original so is the F. Nice examples of both of these went thru the January Mecum auction. The R sold for over $14k and the F sold for $11k. I don't think there are too many of these bikes that have survived in this condition.
