Best cell phone that is not an Apple or Samsung

My boss got the latest greatest Google phone last year and ditched it for a new Iphone a month later. said it was shit. Get whatever is cheapest if you have to pay for your own.

 

I've got an LG V40 ThinQ and I'm happy. With kids, my main concern was the camera, and it doesn't disappoint.

 

Unlocked Motorola.

I was going to pick up one or an Oppo in China on my last trip there. Having the Chinese gooberment spy on you can't be worse than having Apple, Zukerberg and Google spy on you.

Decided against it because I couldn't find one in Engrish in a rush

 

BTW if you have TMo, it's better to buy a TMo branded phone because you can use the WiFi calling feature.

Apple is the only one of the big guys to push back against the exploitation of people and actually somewhat cares about security. Do they collect data? Sure. It's pretty much unavoidable today. At least they're transparent about how their stuff works, unlike the other guys.

I don't care who makes it, I want a phone without all the BS bloatware, preinstalled apps, and other BS that I disable on every phone.

I'm an HTC fan. I need to order one real soon(an unlocked U11).

 

I'd buy a Nokia flip phone before I'd buy anything Apple.

 

I've been using my HTC for a few years now. Quality stuff.

 

Google pixel is as close as it comes to basic unmolested Android
