Serious question: .It you had a firearm (which none of us do), would you possibly shoot enough in a year to make this worth the money? What am I missing? Edit: I would have posted this in the "why God doesn't stop gun violence" thread but someone might think I was serious . https://www.midwayusa.com/product/8...l-metal-jacket-boat-tail-bulk-barrel-of-13889
I know a few people that shoot 2-3 times that much ammo a year. .29 a round isnt even a bargain. You can buy that ammo for the same price in 1000 round boxes.
Non military/police folks? Just good old American citizens? That's impressive. I can't imagine more than 1-2k a year . And yeah, I thought the price wasn't that great either .
Pretty easy for anyone that is active in 3-gun or practical rifle to burn through that much. Especially since .223 doesn't really wear you out during long range sessions.
That’s not a bargain at .29/round. I shoot 3Gun 2-3 times a month and a few carbine matches a year . It would take me about 2 years to burn through that barrel.
Some are former military, but mainly just civilians. 2 of them do firearm reviews and burn up close to 50k rounds a year.
29c is ok for normal a 1000k bulk, not barrel full. I managed to get a bunch of Norinco 5.56 for 24c CAD a few years back. It was cheaper than reloading ....
I’ve never seen the Norinco stuff . Not that I’ve looked for it or anything but , I wonder if that’s like the chicom 7.62x39 that was cheap as hell until it couldn’t be imported anymore because of the steel core.
Exactly. And it’s not steel core issue. Norinco was caught trying to sell rpgs to LA gangs and all Chinese firearm import was banned. We can still get it in Canada.
