What's the fastest a 250 has ever been there that you know of?
Oliver went 29’s the first and only time they ran there with AMA pro stuff.
Yep. Rich killed it that year.
How long before we find out we're talking about a ninja 250, and that time just scared them away from even going to try?
And here I thought 34 was a respectable time after Chaz went 32 …
Rich Oliver was a savage. Talk about lining up on the grid and knowing 2nd place was the best you could do!
So it was a ninja 250? As in lightweight ninja 250?
Ehh, some kid went 32’s on a 125...
It was a machine only real men (and Alex) can ride.
Well, it was a lightweight 250 though.
Poor Chuck. Second every race to Rich. And Chuck admitted to like 110 rwhp from his Aprilia. What did that Yamaha have? Lol.
In fairness, I think he was beaten a few times by Rocky's machine. But it was a cheater bike, as I once supplied Rocky with a pair of cheater TZ250 grips. :--)
Good God! A 250 two-smoke puts 110 at the wheel? I have a new respect for those things.
Yeah, but only from 10450 - 10500 RPM.
Is that the red power band everyone talks about?
Bonafide weapon of mass destruction, if you ask me
And Rich’s Yamaha left that RS250. Imagine the moto2 spec 250s RWHP.
Us old guys remember all those kids … good stuff . I remember PJ on the 125 first time out, the bike looked huge !
. saw the new avatar sig... Carry on.
