I have a Kitchen Aid microwave and I'm getting the following errors (see picture).

Any advice on how to fix it?

    Thanks.

  3. Were you touching it in inappropriate places?

Maybe have it shown on a microwave doll where he touched it.

Unplug it...remove it...replace it with a new one.

I would call the manufacturer and see if that might get you somewhere.

If it's like anything else these days the bad part will have a retail price mysteriously identical to the price of a new microwave

If you haven't done it already, unplug it or turn off the breaker for about a minute, then re-power. If the error clears, you're good.
If not, you're screwed, cause it's gonna cost you.

Done the unplug multiple times and I get nothing. It works every now and then but never consistent. Another POS appliance that doesn't last.

The touchpad has shorted. You need to replace it

Damn! Is that the future of appliances; needing IT to correct an issue with a microwave. o_O

  14. I sent that pic to my buddy early early this AM, he's and eng for their mothership so hoepfully he can look it up in more detail and suggest a DIY repair for the competent non public if you get my drift.
