I've registered to enter in the CCS this coming September and was wondering if anyone here participates their ? I've registered for the F40 classes on both days. What kind of times should I be expecting to achieve ? I'll be in the Expert class... First time there in EX. Was there in 2015 as an AM. thnx
Every time I see NJMP, my mind sees “NJP” (Non-Judicial Punishment), which pretty much sums up any trip to New Jersey.
Ahhh didn't know there was a rivalry Does WERA run at NJMP ? Pretty much the closest US circuit for me in Canada.
Is it thunderbolt or lightning? Amatuer times for pointy ends are as follows: Thunderbolt: 1.28-1.30 Lightning: 1.09-1.11 Expert: Thunderbolt: 1.23-1.25 Lightning: 1.05-1.07
Never been to NJ(M)P, but I have been to ‘Jersey >shudder<, and not by choice. Yoyodyne is the only reason to visit that state.
What class? Lightweight, middle weight or higher? Ill retract the above times. For unlimited So 1.28 expert or there abouts is pointy. Average times hover from 1.31-33. Holds true for middleweight, too. Lightweight is 1.36 and thereabouts. Average is around a 1.38
Middleweight and maybe some higher. I just checked my 2016 MotoAmerica results and my best time was a 1.29.826 http://motoamerica.com/2016/09/yamaha-superbike-challenge-of-new-jersey-saturday-morning-results/ #210 Alex Coelho I hope to pick up the pace this year. Not easy racing with the young guns... so maybe with older gents like me, it might be more fun ! FYI, I'll be racing a ZX6R 2013
See above post. Those times are taken from the F40 round in July. Deviate from the older, senior, time sensitive class, my first post is a good rule of thumb. Locals are fast.
Yes at the track ! Ya in 2015, at 6am filling up gas, the attendant said he got rubbed at gun point during the night... a few corners later, a guy high on some good stuff, walking the streets almost naked and the same day in the evening, the owner of a little pizza shack was shot dead. Well, can't say it's not an entertaining place !
Good luck! A word of advice; its generally a wet area despite the track being dry. During the afternoon, if the sun beats down, water will be pushed up through some seams in the track. If you go to the skidpad area in between the Officer’s Club and center garages, its lower there. Water will begin to emerge from those seams. If it does, theres a good chance its happening on track. Use it as a guide.
Oh wow thnx for the great heads up !!! If you're in the area, drop in for a cold one... You know us and our Candian beers !!! Hell I had a few cold ones with Aaron Yates back in 2015 ! Freakin' fun guy...
