Buddy of mine just received his Batman the other day. Super jealous as this guy got the Pepsi last year as well. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
I just got one of these the other day. https://www.breguet.com/en/timepieces/new-models-classique/5177#!10938 Bought a Rolex Milgauss for my 49th. I had to go with a gold watch for the 50th. I just gotta say WOW. The thing is gorgeous.
Congratulations! Tried on a fancy Breguet not too long ago. Got this thing from Breguet for the wrist. Nothing fancy but cool at times.
He received the Pepsi as soon as it came out (June 2018). Same with the Batman, however Rolex shipped the Batman in May this year. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
Batmans are rare? and when the shit did preowned explorer IIs top over $7K? Used to be a $4K watch all day.
I know right? Effing ridiculous. But I think the bubble will eventually burst. Oh well... just another reason to buy Omegas instead
Cool article. I've been lusting after a Heuer Montreal with a white dial for some time now - the '70's disco look appeals to me - but they're hard to come by (and expensive!).
Dan, freakin' steel bezel pepsi GMTs are $12K and up! and I'm not even looking for anything all that special. Even IWC aquatimer pricing has gone full retard on some models. Buying new is making more and more sense.
The last year, man. Eplorer IIs were the bastard child and selling for $4K this time last year. Pepsis were in that $ 7K range.
People have money, equity markets are still rolling, economy is still good and the millennials will spend money on certain items. Not to mention the overseas buyers. Hell- I spend a ton of time in Vegas and the money I’m seeing get thrown around there is staggering. Go to the high-end casinos and watch the people and the shopping bags they are carrying around. Hell- come out here and I’ll show you 8 digits worth of cars in an hour and can easily take you to a few shops that have maybe 9 digits worth at any time. Not dealerships- but shops! The wealth in the world is staggering and people are back to buying things. Watches are one of those things.
Someone posted this article, which includes a great video of how the fakes have evolved, featuring 116500. I love his last sentences that say something like ".., reward, motivation, joy. you may be able to fake the watch, but can you fake the way it makes you feel?" https://www.highsnobiety.com/p/fake-...ytona-vs-real/ Keep your eyes open, folks!
