I do think the blue strap is a little much...And I like blue, especially blue faced/bezeled watches. Put it on a bracelet and it would be Blue Sex on your wrist

I owned one several years back. It was a 42mm manual wind, which if I recall correctly was the only watch they made at the time. My criticism was that it was too big. I love the classic field watch designs but I think they should stay on the smaller side, since the watches they're based on were like 32mm. Cool to see they have smaller stuff now, and some automatics. Also appears the price has gone up.

It was pretty decent. Nothing that blew my hair back, but I liked the story and it was a nice enough watch for what I paid.

I went to the Watchbuys road show in Chicago this weekend.
It's coming up in NYC, San Fran and OC California later on - and worth a visit.
They show some cool pieces from Hanhart, Sinn, Fortis etc.

Here is a cool watch that Hanhart showed for the first time this weekend.
They had a number of NOS Valjoux 23 movements laying around so they made a limited edition around them.

So i ended up picking up that Seiko SKX on sale for $169 and am very happy with it. I however did get an oyster bracelet for it from Strap CO for another $69 bucks and man, oh man, I am in love it it now. It literally makes it feel like a watch much more expensive. I am very surprised the the bracelet, solid end links, machined clasp and screw on links. This will be my daily watch from now on.

Wanna part ways with the OEM bracelet?

Also make sure all the screws are nice and snug on the strapco oyster. When I got mine a couple backed out after a week or two of wear. I luckily noticed before I lost them.

+1 on the screws. Use a little loctite.

Did you get the tapered one? Mine is 22mm all the way and I wish it had some taper to it.

Same bracelet I bought for my 007. I love it. Daily wear for a couple years, no issues yet.

Not looking to part with the OEM one. Thanks for the tip, I will make sure they are tight.

    Purple loctite perhaps?
    It does tape to 18mm

    On the wrist today!
$50 at a mall watch shop in their “used section” I added the NATO strap as they only had the body.
    Keeps accurate enough time.
