I'm going to Grattan for the first time on a track day. I'm kinda new, Anyone got any onboard videos or suggestions/help getting around this place Thanks a bunch "D"
OOooh Saturday night we've having a bit of a paddock party. But I was told not to advertise it, soooo you didn't hear it from me.
We didn't make it there and get setup until after dark. so I couldn't look for you. It was kind of funny when we pulled into the pits there had to be about 30 people with chairs all watching faster on this flat screen outside of this motorhome. I was a passenger in one of the cars trying to dry off the track.on sunday morning and decided that doing that track for the 1st time in the rain was not a good idea for me. Going to try and go again next Grattan outing. hopefully I can catch up with you next time and buy you a beer or something. Thanks, "D"
Is reg the bike in the vid, or the one filming, b/c I'm not too sure about the lines the camera bike is taking. Wouldn't have been my choice. HD
A couple of places the camera bike stayed to the inside of the turn (like T4 and the hairpin) rather than take the outside to inside line like I would have chosen. I'm not saying it was right or wrong, just different from what I would try to do. That's all. I'm sure there are a lot of good ways around the track. HD
Reg is on the camera bike. He teaches tight lines, because his class is meant for street riders. When I took his 2 day class, He would let you know if your line was too wide by passing you on the inside (after talking with the group about it and asking if anyone had a problem with it) on his VFR. Kinda humbleing when your on a 929. I can probably get a hot lap of the race line from a buddy. We were there for 3 days this week. Chris
Gimme a bit, Im in TN, he is in MI, and neither of us have a place to host it, though I have a gmail account he can send it to. Chris
