That is true. When we have Klan meetings, we have to hire someone from out-of state to hate, and it isn't cheap. They want travel expense, overtime, and we have to take them to dinner if the event runs late (and they always want Chinese, so its expensive). Almost too much trouble to be bothered these days. We're discussing switching to hating Canucks; they're everywhere and not very likable anyway. Especially when they wear their Speedos at the beach.
Back in my college days, mid 80s, I used to go to barber near JMU (Harrisonburg, VA) to get a haircut. Only one barber at the shop (he owned the place) and he would charge $2.25 for a haircut. And that included a shoulder massage with one of those handheld electic massagers with the metal bands.....a little weird but it did feel good. And he would not take a tip. I offered everytime....he would always say "son there may be hard times a coming, you better keep it". And at Christmas, you got to pick a red or green comb...... $2.25 a haircut......how in the hell do you live off of that...even in th 80s. No idea if he is still there.
