And suddenly VA is California 2.0

We have a friend that rides a van pool up from Fredericksburg every day. They leave around 6AM I think. As long as your home is close to the start point for the train / van pool and it is a direct run to your location (no long walk or metro ride after you get into DC), it isn't as bad as you might think.

We have another friend that walks to the train station in Harper's Ferry and rides in four days a week and works from home on Friday. He works on the train, so it isn't time lost for him and his workplace is right next to the L'Enfant train station in DC so no transfers or long walks on that end.
