Of course we are. Although I have to admit, I really like the new guy running the AMA Pro Racing stuff (Scott Hollingsworth) he seems to have his act together and is definitely getting some things done up there that needed to be done. Time will tell if he can really change things but so far so good.
If you really wanted to stir some emotions blubyu, you should have titled this one AMA vs. PACE. I know we're all more than aware of the many gripes people have with the AMA, and I'll be curious to see how many privateers and other small teams abandon the AMA for the high dollar PACE series. But like Sean said, what will happen as a result of SFX being bought out? I think WERA should take over PACE if that's the case.
I agree I think your post should be titled AMA v. PACE because as far as PRO racers go thats where its at. And after talking to the Road Race Mgr. from PACE in an exclusive interview w/ ON THE GAS TV located in Austin, TX the AMA is up 'S..t creek w/out a paddle'! PACE is SERIOUS about going racing and putting up the $$ to do it, and even w/ them being bought for 3 billion that's right w/ a B, the attitude behind the new company (Clear Channel) is to get into the motorsports broadcasting business!!! If the AMA wont or cant provide the best show around for the PRO's and factories then then bean counters in Japan and Italy will tell them to move to where the most exposure is. That fact is shown by some satelite teams being supported by the factories (Honda/Kawasaki and maybe Yamaha) to test out the waters . I think you will soon see a FIM rep. in the PACE/FUSA camp very very soon. However, having said all this, I don't think there is a better group around for Expert racers than WERA to hone their skills and work on now getting some exposure for their program on a national level . The old trickle down effect!!

That's alright, we don't need that many 3 page posts anyway. I would take it as a good sign if your post doesn't take off into a war of words and opinions. That's certainly better than having the HMFIC Wannabe coming in and slapping our wrists and nuking our posts. I get the impression you spent many of your afternoons during school years in detention, am I right?
