Had a couple trailers stolen from our lot. Both were locked with normal locking devices. Was thinking about putting a tracking device on the replacement. Would prefer something with an easily replaceable battery and something without a subscription. Anyone have any experience with these?
You'll need to subscribe to some sort of minimal data cell service to get the tracking info back to you. Something like the below that has a decent sized rechargeable battery may work for you https://www.amazon.com/Vehicles-Tra...ds=gps+tracking+device&qid=1618008636&sr=8-15
Ran the AT3 before on my enclosed trailer (checks in every 24 hours when trailer plug isn't connected, every 10 minutes when connected). Battery life is like 3-4 months if left unconnected before it needs a recharge (recharges from 12v via trailer connector). Recently changed to the solar unit (checks in every 5-10 minutes at all times, recharges via solar) Data plan 15 bucks a month. https://www.linxup.com/
