1999 Suzuki TL1000R Racebike Built this bike last winter, it's got 6 races on it and 2 trackdays since the build. All aftermarket parts and work was done immediately prior to the races/trackdays. I built this bike from the ground-up, nothing was left in bad condition. I love this bike...but time to move on. Going to buy an RV to get the family to the track. Trying to list everything out here...I did a lot of work on it, so please ask if you see something in a picture I haven't included in the description. Bike currently needs nothing, I had it all ready to go for the next event. This bike has never been crashed, laid-down, or tipped over. Sigh...hurry before I change my mind. Frame Frame was stripped down, polished, and then painted black. Frame is in great condition without any damage. It did come with a salvage title from Illinois, but TN titled it with a clean title. The frame is perfect and shows as a clean title, but I want to be honest up-front here and acknolwedge the frame was a salvage title at one point. Woodcraft rear-sets (uses stock levers (much cheaper to replace) Swing-arm spools installed Yoshimura axle-blocks Subframe Trimmed to spec from the old TLR race manual and painted black. PLastic tray removed and replaced with an aluminum sheet riveted in to hold the electronics Engine The engine was completely dissasembled and worked through. All new gaskets/seals through-out engine New Transmission: gears, shafts, and shift forks Kevlar clutch plates EBC clutch springs All carbon build-up was cleaned off New cam buckets, cams were re-shimmed to spec Scissor gears on cams and crank were removed as well as decomp levers Lightweight flywheel installed (removed about ~1.5 lb) Base gaskets removed (sealant used) K&N Race air filter New spark plugs and Nology spark plug wires installed Air-box was been gutted for more air-flow and lined with gold foil for heat control, unnecessary emissions-control equipment removed Full Yoshimura exhaust with titanium canisters (both cans trimmed down by 4 inches of length). The exhaust has some damage from buying it used from a crash bike (These are out-of-production by Yoshimura) Has a fresh oil change with Vortex oil filter Clutch push-rod seal upgraded to SV seal (bigger/stronger) Pair valves removed and custom block-off plates installed Fuel-injectors were cleaned Suspension (Sprung for 180 lb rider) Front-end has racetech gold valves (custom-shimmed) and racetech springs, brand new synthetic fork oil (Motul) All new seals, bushings installed in forks Back-end has the rotary damper removed with a new Bitubo shock setup with remote reservoir installed GPR Steering damper installed New Tapered roller bearings/races installed in steering head Electronics The wiring harness was stripped down and every unnecessary wire/fuse/relay/etc was removed from the harness and re-wrapped The ignition was removed and the bike can be started by the kill switch alone New connectors used anywhere corrosion was found A new fuel pump was installed in fuel tank Dynojet Power Commander USB w/latest firmware Dynojet quickshifter (standard shift) Alien Motion 12-cell battery Smart TRE installed Body/general Vortex fuel filler Fiberglass race body w/Dzeus fasteners, superbike tail, and ram-air tubes. Drain-plug for rain-racing installed. OEM fairing stay was modified for race bodywork use HT Moto seat pad 520 chain/sprocket conversion (Vortex 520 chain and sprockets (aluminum rear sprocket) Painted with 2-stage paint (base and clear), did myself, so it's not show-bike perfect but I think it looks pretty good Fully safety-wired bike Stomp-grip pads installed on tank Data logger bracket added to upper tripple Metal/angled valve-stems (blue) installed on wheels Brakes Front brakes are from 07 Hayabusa with brand new seals installed (same as TLR but with lighter weight pistons) Front brake pads are Vortex Carbon racing brake pads (These take some heat to work, but then they work AWESOME) Rear brake is from a GSXR (lighter weight) Front rotors are EBC on 1 of the wheels, other are OEM Rear rotor is a GSXR rotor (much lighter than OEM) Vortex stainless brake lines Titanium caliper bolts on front Fresh Motul synthetic brake fluid installed Controls Vortex clutch lever Accossato 20x18 brake master and lever (have the OEM setup still with vortex lever installed) Vortex clip-ons Renthal grips Spares (not installed on bike) I have most of the street parts, but it would need a complete bodywork set + full wiring harness to setup for the street again. If you wanted to ride a passenger, a new subframe would be needed as well. Spare wheels with brand new Rain racing tires installed Spare Yoshimura exhaust canisters (in stainless) Headlight Tail-light + undertail assembly Ram-air tubes OEM brakes Various emissions stuff Steering damper Kickstand Levers Front-sprocket cover and speedo Stock Flywheel (Unmodified) (I have a bag full of stuff, mostly things I got extra with the frame/engine and/or the parts I got, almost all OEM/street stuff) Doesn't come with: I will be removing the brake/clutch guards (need them for the next bike) Transponder mount (need it for the next bike) Location: Nolensville, TN (Just south of Nashville) Price: $3500 Contact: Me (Colin) by message at first Delivery: I'm pretty busy with a newborn now, so I'm not sure how much I can help, but I'll do what I can to help (as reasonable) Here is what I can do to adjust price: Remove rain tires (from spare wheels) (-$200) Remove Alien motion battery (you supply your own battery) (-$75) Remove Accossato Brake Master (I replace with OEM) (-$100) OEM/Street parts come with bike, no price adjustments there Extras: I have a set of Chicken Hawk Professional Tire Warmers which can be added for $300. These are the silver ones (top of the line) with the external temp controllers (can be set to any temp). They have 2 years of mild use on them (about 8-9 races/year).
bump for a cheap and amazing bike! Colin is one of the nicest dudes you will ever meet. Buy with total confidence
