Oh man, I'm sorry to read this. Just last week we were talking about you having your best weekend ever at the track.
I know. Crazy how life changes. As great of a weekend it was for me, the other half not so much. Was the beginning of the end. Struggling pretty good right now. But the toys need to go.
Dang! That thing is sweet! I wish this would’ve been for sale a few weeks ago. Good luck with the sale, I can’t imagine it will take long. and sorry about the divorce… worst thing I ever went through, but life was a lot better on the other side. Keep your chin up.
Nice build, but how does a divorce “force” a sale? Thankfully I’ve never been and never will be legally married. Couldn’t imagine ending a relationship and then having to give the bitch half my cash/assets. I say keep the bike!
That’s the same reason I haven’t ventured down that path. Hopefully OP ends up getting a new one after his newfound freedom!
Without knowing the op’s situation, divorce usually results in the liquidation of toys due to simple math. 2 incomes:1 household changes to 2:2, often with the man throwing extra dollars at the strong/independent/equal, yet somehow still not financially self-sufficient woman, hence the sudden lack of excess cash. Not sure what the going rate is now, but my lawyer fees were around $12k and that was 20 years ago. So the moral to that story is, typically speaking, marriage is incredibly high risk/low reward for men and low risk/high reward for women. If I was a young guy again I wouldn’t even consider the proposition before you’re 30, and under no circumstances should you ever consider marrying a woman under the age of 25. They have to have time to put grow those slutty college/party years and turn into an adult. to the op, sorry for the derailment, I wish you the best of luck. I’m following this thread, if it’s still available in a couple weeks when one of my houses sells, I’ll be in the market for a good track back. Hope it’s gone by then, but if not I’ll be in contact
Yea situation sucks. It truly is cheaper to keep her. I make 3 times as much as her. Going to be paying dearly for some time. This is not something I would wish on my enemies. Hopefully some day I can come back but for now this sport is going on hold till I get through this mess.
