2017 Yamaha R3 with about 6200 miles. A neighborhood kid just crashed it last month and brought it over to my shop to see what could be done. He wants to sell it instead of repairing it. Bike has a clear title. Fairly straight, forks are fine. There is damage where the guage cluster bolts to the frame. As is $1200 or will part out.
I just pulled off the gauge cluster and fairings. Heres the damage. I wonder if it can just be heated and pulled out straight.
I just reset the tip over sensor and it started right up, I took it for a quick ride around my block. rides straight, shifts fine, brakes fine. Honestly this would be a great first track/race bike candidate. I can send video of it running.
Kinda want this but saving for a house. I'm sure my wife would understand [emoji28] Heading to CA anytime soon?
Can you ship to 33301 South Florida? Unfortunately shipping cost will probably be the deal breaker for me.
Gino if you buy it I’ll be down in phx next month for the auctions - i Can drag it back to Florida with me.
Hmm well this is pretty damn tempting... Looks/sounds like the frame itself may not be bent, and it's just the fairing-stay mounting point that got bent?
Frame is not bent just the bracket welded to the frame. No side rash to the bike. The kid riding it hit straight into the back of a lifted truck at a stop light. So all the damage was to the headlight, upper fairing and fairing bracket. The kid was fine but his parents want the bike gone. I tried to convince them to repair the bike and get him on the track.
