Some pictures are available here: https://www.hotbodiesracing.com/product/sv650-2017-race-bodywork-primer-gray/ Looks pretty cool.
For 2K you get it Steeltoe approved, hope it's better than previous hotbodies, last set I had was given to me and I wouldn't use it.
My worry is: The new 2017 bodywork might be too narrow for parts of the Gen 2. Also that the tail section might have different mounting points.
If anybody with an older bike is local to San Diego, we'd love to test fit a set on you bike! Email me!
Tons of people have, works good. Need some basic altered/custom brackets like any other non-2nd gen SV bodywork would require. Tail is the worst part, need to trim a lot to fit the subframe.
I was tempted by the $300/set sale price, but just too lazy anymore to paint it and too cheap to pay someone to paint it.
This^^ Plus I make a fairing stay that takes most of the guess work out of the installation. Simple side brackets and lower bracket can be made from 1/8" x 2" aluminum. My bodywork comes pre marked for all holes. Easy peazy, super lwt and durable!
Can you give your contact info out (Ghetto Customs) or how we can order your fairings. Like most everybody else, I'm trying to put these on a Gen2, and Im close to using the JHS subframe and tail, but would rather get the parts stateside. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
Could always send me a direct message here on the beeb as it would ping me through an email... 615-364-3662 Chris Parrish Or message me through FaceBook
Does a hotbodies ever fit anything? Last kit I got for free with a bike I bought I sold for cheap and bought good bodywork. It would have taken hours to make it fit and patch everything before I could paint it.
