Chad wells at commonwealth in Louisville can do a super duke conversion. If the crank is good everything above can be replaced with 1290 parts.
Didn't want to jinx your sale but yeah that is a common thing with those bikes. Mine locked up on me. Ended parting it out. Pretty sad as it was a great bike.
Honestly I think it's more of a by product of just a big ass V-Twin revving sky high. I think especially when you take them to the track you got to really look after them. I've got a friend that's got 4,000 track miles on his it's never had a problem so there's that.
