You can easily take too much off the head. That engine definitely has a limit on squish higher than many other engines. The pistons touch. I would find a way to do a leak down just to confirm seal. Don’t be embarrassed, learn something from it.
Just an update. Took out all the avgas, and put 91 in. Ran the autotune for a track day, and adjusting trim %. Once i had it 'dialed in' the bike was a rocket. Holy hell does this thing pull at 9K rpm. Every gear change the front tire would start to lift. Thanks for the advice here! took home a couple trophy this weekend! As far as anyone is concerened, the bike only made 100hp :P
Thread resurrection. Decided to put the bike back on the dyno with regular fuel, a healthy clutch, and properly strapped down rear tire. (went to a different dyno shop all together) Only difference is that put the motor in a 08 chassis with the adjustable velocity stacks. Pretty happy with the numbers now!
