2005 Ducati 749R racebike for sale. $3000 I recently had a low speed get-off and broke my collarbone, which required surgery. Now, I need to sell this racebike to pay down my medical bills. There was some damage to the bike (details below). The 749R is the perfect bike to race in the CCS Thunderbike class, and I have won a few races on this bike. THE GOOD In stock trim, the 749R made 121 HP at the crank utilizing titanium connecting rods & valves. Ducati also included: magnesium valve covers carbon fiber belt covers Ohlin front & rear suspension Ohlin steering damper dry clutch (slipper) with hydraulic control larger 18L fuel tank Brembo radial front brake calipers & Brembo rear brake caliper Marchesini forged aluminum wheels Aftermarket Parts that have been added: Termignoni full 57mm Racing Only exhuast system with carbon fiber cover stainless steel braided brake & clutch lines with clear cover carbon fiber rear fender and exhaust heal guard (right side) Speedymoto frame sliders tout triple tree/clamps Braking front brake rotors Lightech quick release gas cap Sato rear sets Motoholders aluminum upper fairing stay STM clutch slave cylinder HM Additori quick shifter Ducabike rear brake lever Ducati Performance clutch cover Evolution Slipper clutch Drive Systems rear sprocket with DID gold 520 chain Shorai Lithium battery SCM Racing quick-turn throttle SCM Racing clip-ons & bars Brembo master brake cylinder & clutch cylinder racing bodywork Also Included Pit Bull front & rear stands Original Ducati triple tree with 749R badge with sequence number (see pic) Pit Bull trailer restraint pins THE BAD & THE UGLY My low speed get-off scratched or slightly bent the following (upper & lower fairing was not on the bike at the time of the crash) on the left side of the bike: tip of front axle radiator return tube (scratched) end of Brembo clutch lever and bar end & grip (scratched) fuel tank (small scratch on left side) Speedymoto frame slider & water pump inlet cover (scratched) Sato left rear set (bent but footpeg & bracket can be replaced) swingarm spool leftside (slightly bent but usable) Discovered 4th gear missing at COTA back-straight. This is a bigger issue. Anyone handy with money can have the motor repaired for about $5000. A better solution would be to swap-out the motor. LEHMANB (Ben Lehman) on this forum has a 749R motor for $2500 for sale. This would be a more economical solution. No Title. Bill of Sale only. https://www.ducati.ms/threads/749r-engine.722019/#post-6984547 The bike would bring a higher price if I parted it out, but the 749R's are so rare it would be a shame to do that. It would be like selling a P-51 Mustang for parts. I am limited to 10 photos on this post. If you want to see more, just contact me.
