SpeedyE Experimental prototype, never meant for production

I will never ride or race again, but i hoping (convincing myself) I will someday.
I have 06gsxr1K and 1986 gsxr750(G).....i think the old slower bike is what i will pilot if i ever get there.

Im working/restoring the 86gsxr currently. I am currently buying parts.
    Everyone puts the 1-st gen (1986-1987) gsxr1100 rear-shock linkage on the 750's.
I already have a length-adjustable Fox twin-clicker. Do I still need to spend the money on the 1100 link?
Does the link just raise the rer, like the adjustable shock, or does it do something else?

    Thank you

Also, who is the old school suspension guy? who is the guy/company to contact about geometry/springs/etc on old 86 bike(s)?
Racetech? They been around longest, no?

Martin @ Traxxion seems to know the old stuff fairly well too. That is who I used for my 7/11 and I am very happy with the results.
