MotoGP was one of the last series holding onto 16.5, but even they changed back over to 17 in 2016.

good news is 17" tires will fit easily on them...but you may have trouble seating the bead :)

Not funny as some bonehead will try to fit them and then actually try to ride

How much where these new do you think? Amazing what obsolete will do to prices[emoji15]

    Brand new?

I believe Al would have been in the $2K range and Mg in the $3K range. Used is used, but as you said obsolete and cannot even be used for their intended purpose is something else. I bought a set of lightly used forged Mg Marchesini's for my 05 1000 for just under $2K, a really good deal at the time and I still have them to this day.

We had a new wheel and 1 new tire sitting around the shop and I always wanted to make it into a clock, we used it another way when we remodeled. Catches more attention than I expected. These things (16.5" wheels) are basically useless now...

I would be very interested for the right price. I make a lot of furniture in my house out of old car and bike parts.

Don’t think I’ll buy the bike he’s asking a lot for what it has or I should say what it has a lack of.
If the wheels where 17’s then the price is acceptable .

seems like $4500+ is about the going rate these days. Maybe a lil more being the primo condition and title status.
Or were you looking to steal it? Even if you bought a set of new 17s in Mag... youd be in the bike pretty cheap.

I have a few... one similar to that but a KWS 1140 motor, Ohlins R&Ts, Ohlins rear, Marvics, full Ti akra, billet clutch basket & intake stacks, carbon airbox, aluminum tank, and a few other choice items. I wouldnt let it go for less than $9900.

    17 stocks come with it
I guess if the reserve is around
4,000 to 4,500 that is a decent price.

I'd pay over 5K for that bike all day long, (the K5 Gixxer). But I do have 2 x K5's already, one OEM, one in really nice condition, not OEM plastics however.
