I'm trying to identify which wires are the speed and coolant temp sensor wires that go to the stock R6 tachometer. I have the manual, but I'm having a hard time deciphering the wiring diagram, and there doesn't seem to be a section devoted to the tach wiring. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Most of the sensors on the R6 (for example the coolant temp) are wired to the ECU, not the instrument cluster. However if you're looking for just the raw wires for the sensors, they are shown in the wire diagram or last page of the service manual. For example, the coolant temp sensor is component 44 on the diagram and has blue, black/blue and pink wires.
Thanks for your response. You are correct. I need to connect to the speed sensor and the coolant temp sensor directly, not as part of the hiring to the speedometer. Hopefully will get to this today!
