Some advice needed please, got a set of forks...XA871..best I can tell, came off about an 01 GSXR..62mm on the bolt spacing..looks like 10 mil bolts....got 6 pot Tokicos on it now..what options for change? Anyone make adapter plates for another brand Nissin or Brembo? or which is the way to go staying with a strait swap? Thanx
If you can find a set of the OEM four Tokico pot calipers you will be pleasantly surprised at their performance relative to the six pot. I like the looks of the six pot, but the OEM four pot brakes just felt so much better for me. Example: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2001-Suzuki...ash=item3abd2a4267:g:Hw4AAOSw4HVWC9Rv&vxp=mtr
I actually owned an 03 GSXR 600 with the 4 pot calipers. Was just a beater track bike to get me by for a season, but the brakes were actually phenomenal. I easily stoppied that bike with two fingers (with RJL pads). Apparently it's a popular SV bolt on for street bikes as they are pretty solid calipers.
