    Couple points...
Airport checks - you are entering the facility to use its services, not exiting.
"unreasonable" search - applies to agents of the govt.; anyone else can attempt an unreasonable search but I doubt they have a "right" to do so.

Maybe it's a state by state thing but I've never heard of having to have id to drink, that's definitely not the law here. Legally you can serve someone a drink on their 21st birthday, there's no law that says you even have to card them, just that it's illegal to serve a minor.

I know it was told to us when I took my class that it was illegal in Wisconsin, but after a couple minutes reading through statutes I wasn't able to find anything that corroborated that... maybe it was just a line they fed us to convince people.

I recently moved to a new state and had to get a new license. For reasons I don't understand, they weren't able to print the ID while I was there and instead gave me an "official" piece of paper that was to serve as my license until the card came in the mail. I went to the grocery to get some wine and the cashier gave me some push back saying that it wasn't a valid form of ID. She called the manager and after some discussion she gave in and sold to me, but not before telling me that she was doing me a favor and that the "official" piece of paper from the DMV isn't actually official.

Also, I've never met many of you, but because of all the talk about shopping at Walmart most of you have taken on the appearance of people I've seen on peopleofwalmart.com.

That is a weird situation. I know here in illinois sometimes your drivers license get taken when you get a ticket and they mail you back when you pay the ticket. In the mean time the cop gives you a piece of paper to use as a license, but doesnt work as an ID..... So if you dont have a state ID and they take you license you have no real ID on you.

Several years ago I was in a restaurant and wanted a beer, didn't have my licence with me, the only ID I had was my green card, I showed them that and they accepted it, funny thing is that it doesn't have a DOB on it.

    Guilty as charged, occasionally.

That is funny, I have used my drivers license outside the US to show I was over 18, license clearly had DOB showing I was 17 but they still accepted it.

Yes. Now you are required to have a residential mailing address they can send it to. I think it also has something to do with it being a partial federal ID card.

In Maryland, they let you keep your old excited license as a form of ID.

I know in Maryland, your fire arms permit is connected with your driver's license.

As far as residential addresses are concerned, here they use Melissa data to confirm the address is legit. Once you have your driver's license issued to that address, it shows up on the listing. I'm sure other people here have run into problems with it.

Google it and use your address to see what info is in the database. Then again... That's probably dungeon material.
