I guess Grattan has a curse on racers regarding this type of accident............... Last year, my friend/race partner, Ryan Shader, had the same thing happened to him when someone else offered to change the front tire for him so that I don't have to miss a practice (I am Ryan's mechanics as he's mechanically challenged). Well, Ryan got used to me getting everything set up before he goes out, and never check for brake after the front tire change. He went out for a practice which ended up with him running straight off T1 and enbedded the bike into the earth wall at the end of it. Ryan landed on the other side of it (not track property!) without any major injury (lucky him). Anyway, sorry to hear about the severity of Dennis' injury (11 broken bones........ ). Wish him a speedy and painless recovery!
it was his out lap on the trackoholics day??? think they let him out at the jump (t5).....on the first lap, i could see not using brakes from t5 to t9...
We were going out on T5, and being the first guys down there Harry waved us out without stopping at the gate.
I just talked to him as well. He sounded awsome. Better than I imagined that someone could after all that. He has got his game together, just going to take a while to mend. Rich

Just an FYI.... Dennis was released yesterday from Butterworth hospital. He's at home now and ready to catch up at work. He will begin physical therapy locally and we have our fingers crossed that he'll be riding at the GNF. Michelle
