Father Daughter Wedding Dance

I did dance to Buffet with my Dad! But it was "Little Miss Magic". Here's the lyrics, but you've got to hear it to appreciate it. It's a beautiful song -- not your typical Buffet -- more like a lullabye -- perfect for a slow song dance.

My Dad got himself uninvited (long story), so I can't really suggest anything.

 

"Butterfly Kisses" or "There Goes my Life" if you want to cry like a blubbering idiot.

 

Dancing with your dad to "Why Don't We get Drunk and Screw" sounds a little odd to me...

My father should have been uninvited (also a long story); but getting back on track, have your fiance ask her father what would be a meaningful song for him. I would imagine most fathers have songs that remind them of their little girls.

As to who's choice it is to pick the song - the father of the bride.

Been there, done that, paid for the weddings. 3X.

 

Mine is going to use a Bobby Darrin song, I forget off the top of my head which one – I know for sure it’s not mack the knife.

So what's the verdict? Any of this back and forth wedding nostalgia produce positive results? Is she any closer to making a decision or are you closer to needing another beer?
