I think you should get three - one to wear for practice, one to use for racing, and a back-up. Your head is certainly worth three helmets.
Suggested retail on an Arai Corsair Nakano is $790.95. The Bells that Sadowski and Stevens used when they rode the V&H Yamaha were $1000 a piece and that was almost a decade ago. $810 is steep but not that far out of line and I bet you won't see another one at the track or at your local hang out. Plus Darrin can probably get you the hook up.
800 for a helmet is very steep. Go for the solid colors and it seems that you should be able to keep the prices down under 500.
sad part is that thats the discounted price on kneedraggers, and they also dropped the retail a while back, the distribution company came into the shop with one of them when i worked there, it was sweet as heck, but they thought it was going to sell well at $999.00:wow: even my employee discount wasnt all that great, i think i will keep my suomy, nothing that valuable up there
that would be cool for my street bike but i would not feel to safe to wear it. and $810.00 ?::wow: would that helmet pass tech inspection?
U.S. DOT and ECE-22.05 Safety Certification isnt the second one that really special certification from europe? the suomy's haave the bsi standard, but i thought they were changing it should pass, if thats the standard i am thinking of
Bonnie and I each have them and they rock! Only complaint is no fog-free sheild. If Scorpion can include a fog-proof sheild in a $199 MSRP helmet so should everyone else!
One of our members said that if he had one he'd paint it. I responded.... "Dude.... are you crazy? That's like putting close on a stripper!"
Nice, but I still love Arai's. My Arai makes me feel like I have a personal connection with MickyD...
I figured your belly and all those Big Mac wrappers would do that but if your Arai does it, well all the power to you, Mutombo.
Did you punch him in the back of the head and throw his well used Fulmer into the weeds? I'd sell Haga's left testi for that helmet.
