I just came back from the impound yard.

"Paintjob" would not be the word here. Cosmetically, the bike is trashed. It looks like the guy tip a can of paint over the bike. It's fucking horrible...

The dipshit painted over the frame, triple clamp, dash, brake calipers...the whole lot.

The lower fairing is missing, the frame sliders are gone, the clocks are broken off.

But I have it back, and it is in one piece, so I can't bitch too much. The impound lot guy, told me they rearly recover bikes in such a good condition after a theft, so that made me feel good.

I'll try to post pics tonight. Be prepared...

 

Can the kid be forced to pay for the repairs? You know, replace the damaged Akrapovic pipe, the GPR dampner, the Attack triple clamps, etc. . .

 

Yeah, and the carbon fiber bodywork is trashed too.

 

But seriously, ask the cops if there is a way to go after the kid for the damage.

 

Don't forget the CF wheels too.
