Serioulsy though, what about "pit truck" or "pit wagon" given that is where the bike and rider (hopefully) are going once they are picked up. Those two and "transporter" are all pretty benign sounding and don't tip off the crowd unless the ambulance AKA "the flashbox" starts rolling.

"Zamboni", "Bandit 2" could also work. I did like "shortbus" though.

The best way to contact the crash vehicle-truck-quad whatever and not draw attention to it is to contact the operator by name. Control to Buford, Go ahead, Turn One riders left, Enroute. That being said, I prefer to be called what I am, crash quad, Thank you.
