Where do you draw the line with completely? No fairings at all? Wings have become trendy, they're on production bikes now. Seems like there sort of here to stay.

Well if they get rid of the stupid wings and appendages on the GP bikes, the oems will follow, as there is no need for them on the street.
But i doubt that will happen.

They are not getting rid of the aero bits, just making them smaller.

That almost certainly will not happen for the street whether or not MotoGP drops aero. Why? Because people buy what looks new and fast, not what actually helps them go fast. If it were about actually going fast, fairings would be much less pointy and more rounded which would lead to a dramatic drop in sales- because it doesn't look cool. How many cars are sold with decklid spoilers on them which has practically zero positive effect on handling and makes the car aerodynamically less efficient? Yet almost all of us would rather have it.

So you don't like spoilers, what the heck wrong with you.

I didn't say I don't like spoilers..... Some things just make a car look cool, but I'm aware of the cost of coolness:crackup: I have this dune buggy that is totally ridiculous. It's like the Speed Buggy cartoon with huge Mickey Thompson tires that have no business being on a car with 50hp. But it puts a big smile on my face every time I drive it and I don't care.:D

    Dave Wolfe I know nuttin!

Empi! My buddies family had one when I was growing up.

Re the green fuel its really a nothingburger. They'll just spec some gas of some sort and the teams will use it. It appeases the climate a-holes and does nothing else but raise cost and maybe cause cancer
