uploading iphone photos to PC issue - Help ?

I now have a problem loading photos from my phone onto my PC.
It has worked fine for years but I rarely actually use it.
Typically I just plug in a USB cable and click a few things in "Photos" and it works.
I tried to take pictures today to post a bike for sale and it don't work.

I tried a few different programs from the microsoft app store, tried updating
the phone, tried a few online searches that recommended different settings on
the phone, different settings on the computer, shut down, reboot, all no good.

I did succeed in sitting at my desk all day getting aggravated so at least something was achieved today.
Anyone else have this issue and find a solution?

Just use the iCloud app and they will pop right up.

Ever notice that when Deegan is in a podium place, to the announcers he's "Danger Boy", but when he's in 11th, it's "Deegan" ?

Thanks folks - icloud works, leave it to apple and microsoft to take something simple that works easily and make it difficult.

 

It makes you dependant and less likely to switch phone brands because you'll be used to doing it that way.
