This is either my 7th or 8th year going. Favorite time of the year; annual pilgrimage to Austin with some buddies. The partying on 6th St gets a little more tame each year as we're getting older, but it's still fun!
I didn't realize you were a member of the hoi polloi who had to pay to get in. And in all honesty, I think I was more smitten by the copious amounts of nose candy that we had there then I cared about the show.........but in the context of being zooted out of my mind, the bikes did seem pretty cool
Yes, turn 15 is great place to sit and spectate. You will have a great time. send me a PM if you can possibly
Still never been to a GP One day I'll make one. Skipped multiple opportunities to go to Indy, which I kick myself for repeatedly now.
Same here, I'm in Ohio and would have been easy to pull that off but never got around to it. We always said that next year we were definitely making plans to go!
1971 Hockenheim, 1993 Laguna Seca. I'd like to add to the list but too many other things in life get in the way. From Agostini to John Kocinski. What a difference in personas.
With an American team and an American owner of MotoGP now, I have a feeling it’ll be back on the circuit plus probably one other. I love Laguna and hope it goes back there.
Pecco goes well here too. He had a good lead last year before a slight mistake and tucked the front on a dirty track (I rewatched the race last weekend) and Rins goes well here no matter what equipment he’s been on. Imagine him not being just a three brand winner, but a three brand winner at the same track. That’d be awesome.
Laguna can't handle these bikes, so I think Flatrock would have more of an in as it's new and supposedly trying to get FIM certified
With Liberty now owning both MotoGP and F1, they could put 10% of what went to get Vegas ready, and make Road America FIA/FIM certified. Well, in my dreams that is.
