Have you seen what they did to expand F1 in the US? Bring "celebrities" to the track and have them act as if they were interested. Created a soap opera about the drivers. I sense my interest in MotoGP dropping as has my interest in F1. Sad!
F1 has had a terrible on track product for an incredibly long time now whereas MotoGP may be the best there is right on 2 or 4 wheels at the moment. I'm hoping they can't mess it up too badly.
Was that the Super 8? You should stuck around, they got the AG on them and they had to honor the original price. they were fined $175K.
https://www.crash.net/motogp/news/1046326/1/fate-motogp-grid-girls-confirmed-after-liberty-takeover I give it 2 years and they'll be gone. They can't have a double standard applied to the 2 series.
No bags. On the Vegas front, I like that they say spending for the F1 fans was 3.5x (or whatever it was) more than average Vegas tourists. Now, show me the number of booked rooms during F1 vs the prior year and show me how the classify visitors as F1 or non F1 fans.
Ok, Liberty Media bought Dorna, or a controlling interest. They hold the commercial rights. I don't think that pertains to the classes/rules. That should still be the FIM / MSMA if I am not mistaken.
I know it's fashionable to bandwagon onboard the "they're gonna commercialize it they're gonna ruin it" train but I'm not with y'all. I'm more than happy to see MotoGP on every billboard, reality tv, celebrities and concerts at every race. Hope to God they also get Kawasaki and Suzuki back and more Yamahas.
